Their story… Their event.

Welcome to AlphaLee Events The Blog! I am so excited to share upcoming events, inspiration, vendor highlights and so much more. I thought I would start by sharing the inside scoop to one of the weddings. I believe that the event is a reflection of the person or couple, not me! This event had so many elements to it that represented the couple and their story.

Matt and Leah Leatherby

Yes, Leatherby like the delicious creamery and restaurant here in town! Lucky me:) Matt and Leah were married at the Cathedral downtown (beautiful) and Cathy Brooks from Visual Impact lined the aisle with full size trees. As Leah walked down the aisle it was breathtaking.

After the ceremony the guests then headed down the road to the Sacramento Ballroom. When they walked in each guest name was on a Notre Dame football card that matched the card at their assigned table, Matt is a huge fighting Irish fan!

Matt and Leah have many kids who are close with them and they didn’t want them to be left out of the party. We set up a kids table with lollipop centerpieces, toys galore and coloring books. We hired 3 teenagers to “play”:)

Everyone knows you end up wearing your most uncomfortable shoes to a wedding but when it’s time to get down you want to ditch the shoes. We had large chests filled and labeled with small medium and large flip flops for the guests.

Last but not least the ice cream. Berco Redwood built a custom ice cream stand that had built in lights, a black and white tiled top and so many fun details. We set the stand up in the ballroom and after dinner the shop was opened. We had topping galore and custom cups to load up the treats!

Matt and Leah were an absolute joy and their wedding was one to remember. Thank you to Braxton Photography for capturing a memorable event.

Check back because I will be giving a glimpse of weddings every now and then.
